Tarnation is an experimental quintet of multi-instrumentalists. Originally formed to create a film score, the collective continues to take a cinematic approach to music. Ambient soundscapes are punctuated by sound effects and sampled voices. Cultural references and suggested narrative emerge and dissolve in the ethereal sound. The familiar gives way to the uncanny.
